About this event
During Quiet Hour, gallery lighting will be softened and audio-visual effects reduced where possible. Where this cannot be done, signage will advise visitors of any loud noises.
We are committed to being autism-friendly, and our staff are trained to support neurodivergent visitors and help maintain a calm atmosphere. Visitors are welcome to bring sensory supports such as sunglasses, headphones, or sunflower lanyards.
While we do not have designated quiet spaces, visitors can access the outdoor grounds of Collins Barracks if they need a break. Educational resources and Museum Trails offer a reflective way to engage with the Collection. Our Café will also observe Quiet Hour with reduced noise, lighting, and music.
